After graduating from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville Texas, I dedicated 35 years to teaching elementary school. Between the demands of my career and raising three children, I started searching for something to help conquer my stress.
In 2015, I began practicing yoga in a quaint little studio in Willis, Texas - Grace Yoga Studio, Willis. It was there that my yoga teacher, Jan Parker Dial, encouraged me to become a yoga teacher.
My newfound passion led me to the Living Yoga Program in Austin Texas where I completed my 200-Hour certification in 2018 which was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I began teaching shortly before completing the program and have been teaching ever since.
In addition to my RYT-200, I have earned additional certifications from the Accessible Yoga Teacher Training Program, Yin Yoga, and various meditation trainings. I am a life-long learner and love to dive into other trainings to improve my own personal yoga and meditation practices as well as apply what I learn to the classes I teach.
I currently teach gentle slow-flow Hatha yoga, appropriate for all levels. I also lead guided meditation sessions and Yoga Nidra.
It is both humbling and gratifying to witness others find their true self, inner beauty, and find peace in a world of uncertainty.a
